A SONG FOR YOU, FOREVER

A quick message from Captain Obvious here, but what a hellova year 2020 has been for couples trying to tie the knot! 

From postponements and cancellations, to no dance floors and limited guest numbers, our poor newlyweds-to-be have had their dream day turned into one giant big stress ball as they navigate their way through the ever-changing rules of the pandemic. 

So, in an effort to look on the bright side, we’ve had lots of couples decide to embrace the extending planning session they now find themselves in. It’s time to have more fun with the planning, get more creative, and do your best to enjoy the long lead up to your ‘new’ wedding date. 

Introducing ‘A Song For You, Forever’…

‘A Song For You, Forever’ is the new songwriting offering from Wedding Music Tasmania, where we write your story into a brand new original song.

Whaaaa? Cool, right?!

What’s it all about, you ask? 

Firstly, you can check out this video that explains it all – but as a quick explanation, in our secret double lives, Elle and I (owners of Wedding Music Tasmania are actually long-time songwriting and recording partners and have been performing for many years under our country/pop duo named Heart Beats Mind. 

We’ve also been releasing EPs and albums as solo artists (Jordan Millar - Elle May), recording in Nashville and touring the country with our original projects. Now we’re putting all this experience into writing songs for YOU!

How will it sound?

You can hear our theme song that we wrote for the project here. It’s a great example of what your song could sound like, but the lyrics will be about your story and your journey together.

How does the process work?

It’s a simple and fun process to get your song underway. First, grab a cup of tea or a glass of wine with your partner and sit down and fill out our questionnaire that we’ll send you. We use this to get our initial ideas for some song hooks. Then we’ll organise a little phone or video chat with you to talk out the story points, and then off we go to write the song!

A few weeks later, your recorded track will be available for you to use however you like – it’s your song and your story.

What can I use it for?

You can use the song however you like. It can be for your first dance, down the aisle at your ceremony, as the soundtrack to your planning nights or the tune behind your wedding video.  Whatever you need it to be is totally up to you; it’s your story and your song.
